We've officially begun harvesting, and so far the yield appears to be higher than average. Since the majority of our barley goes for malting, that's good news for you beer drinkers.

Glad you’re having a good year. Ranching/farming is such a gamble. I’m guessing you can get insurance to help with the bad years, but nothing beats the satisfaction of a bumper crop.
Yes, Darlene, we are feeling pretty lucky this year. Places on either side of us got wiped out by hail, but we mostly dodged the bullet except for some partial damage to a couple of hay fields.

Do you have contract for your barley or do you just deliver it to an elevator for storage?
