Wait! Did you chainsaw trees down to make a better view or chainsaw the WALL to add a window? Either is impressive & the view is BEAUTIFUL.
I'm trying to picture how you'd chainsaw a wall... Do you just stick the blade in the middle, or do you start in the corner? Do you need a running start to get it go to go through the wall? Do you stand inside or outside? Can you imagine what it would look like from the otherside with just the blade peeking through?
(Do you see why I'm not allowed to touch the power tools?)
Tiffany: We chainsawed dead limbs from the trees that were blocking my view. But we did also have to cut the hole in the wall for the window, because my living room used to be a wooden grainary that didn't have windows. We used a power saw with the round toothy blade. I leave that stuff to the hubby, he's much more accurate with the tape measure and less likely to buzz through load-bearing timbers.

I could sit and look at that view for a while. How do you get anything done? I'd have to work in the closet.
We made sure the window isn't too big, so you have to stand up to look out. That helps.

With a view like that, I wouldn't want anything hindering it either. (Hugs)Indigo
